Longest off season!

It feels like yesterday a OT goal crushed the dreams of the Greenville Road Warrior faithfuls. The 2011 Kelly Cup would not be hoisted in Greenville. It also feels like years since that Wheeling goal sent the Bi-Lo Center speechless. The off season is always a tough time for fans of the sport yes there is Baseball, Vacations, Work and other things to keep most occupied. Even with the Summer time fun a lot of Road Warrior Nation still feel that empty feeling after a dominate season ended up shy of the ultimate goal. As I'm writing this the off season has been pretty quite for the Road Warriors, Which is only making the fan base hungry for news. Like it's been said many times "Rome wasn't built in a day" neither is a hockey team. It's not a bad thing either. Players are weighing their options and opportunities to move up the long, wide totem pole of professional hockey. While a lot of players are still trying to find the perfect option a couple players have resigned with the Road Warriors. Fan favorite and Captain T.J.Reynolds is back for year two. Joining him is forward Matt Schepke who scored the first goal in Road Warriors history. T.J. will provide a veteran leadership role as demonstrated last year he is not afraid to defend his teammates. Matt Schepke who unfortunately spent most of last season on the shelf with injuries , Will be looking to provide offense. The Michigan native put up 46 points during the 09-10 Season and is looking to do more of the same in 2011-2012. As the off season continues to role on we should find out some more names of players wearing the Warrior Crest this season. Have patience and October will be here sooner than you know!

Road Warriors fans hope to see a lot of this next season!
